Members of the Lemonville Group of Artists meet once a week at the Lemonville Community Centre.
They are an autonomous, diverse and unique group of emerging and established artists sharing a common passion for painting.
They explore many areas of art in a program filled with instruction from their own members and guest instructors. Many days are spent painting and sharing common artistic interests. The largest component of the Lemonville Group is the mutual support and encouragement that members receive from each other.
In 2011 The Lemonville Group of Artists had an exhibition at the Latcham Gallery, the local public art gallery in downtown Stouffville. It was an exciting adventure for the group, working with the Curators for almost two years that culminated in the exhibition Views from the Moraine.
Other locations they have exhibited include 19 on the Park, Stouffville, Markham Theatre Gallery, Newmarket Theatre Gallery and the Town Municipal Offices. They have also exhibited in several locations in Durham region.
The Lemonville Group of Artists organize an annual show and sale the first weekend in May every year. Details here.
